Our projects
How we approach a smart home project
Every house is different, but projects fall into three shapes. Here is what each involves and where the effort goes.
New builds
The best case. We join at design stage, produce a specification your electrician can quote from, and coordinate cable routes, back boxes and controller siting before plaster goes on. Nothing is compromised to fit what is already in the walls.
- Full lighting control on every circuit that warrants it
- Security zones designed into the building, not added to it
- Cabling for cameras, audio and access run at first fix
- Wall panels positioned where people actually walk
Retrofits
Homes that are already lived in. We work with the wiring that exists, using wireless where cabling would mean chasing walls, and stage the work so the household keeps functioning throughout.
- Wireless control where new cabling is impractical
- Existing switches and fittings reused where they are sound
- Security retrofitted to the Comfort platform
- Work staged room by room
Apartments and smaller homes
The same platform at a smaller scale. Usually lighting and security first, with cameras, climate or audio added later — without replacing the controller or starting again.
- Compact zone counts, same five security modes
- Scenes and schedules tuned to a smaller footprint
- Room to expand onto the same system later
Case studies
Detailed write-ups are on the way
We are photographing completed installations and getting our clients' permission before publishing them. In the meantime, we are happy to walk you through a live system in person.
Want to see one working?
We can arrange a visit to a completed installation so you can see the lighting, security and app behaviour in a real home rather than a brochure.
Tell us about your project
Tell us about your project — whether you are building, renovating or retrofitting. We will talk through what is possible, with no obligation.
